Metastatic Clear Cell Carcinoma Cancer

Friday, June 24, 2022

Our dear friends,

Thank you so much for praying. I wanted to give you a health update since most of you often pray for that.

Good news

The tumors or masses have shrunk a little more. That is a good report. I feel good physically and spiritually. I deal with some side effects but have learned to handle them.

Truth

I am currently in what is called palliative care. That means the cancer I have, Clear Renal Cell Carcinoma, is metastatic or has spread. There is no known cure. The concern is to do what they can to stop these tumors' further spread or growth.

The doctor informed me yesterday that I will be receiving the infusions, cancer meds, etc., till the day I die. There is hope they will discover more treatments if they can control my cancer long enough.

Plans

I will continue to travel and do all I can in my king's service as long as He makes me able. Currently, I have to be back for my infusions every 28 days. I am excited that God has opened the door for us to travel to Peru in September.

Prayer Requests

Pray that God would use me for His honor and glory till He decides to take me home. I will continue to work in the Society of Mentors. We now have meetings and training for men and women in English and Spanish.

Check out alignmentministries.com. That is where all of my ministries will be until He takes me home, or I cannot do it.

I will work hard at getting all the materials that I have taught for all these years online and ready for others who might want to use them.

Thank you for praying for us. Thank you for praying for Betty. She is the most wonderful wife you could ever imagine. Thank you for praying for my family. They have dealt with a tough year. They are all serving God and being greatly used by Him. I am so very proud of them.

Again thank you for praying. Thank you for loving us! God bless you all,

Austin and Betty

Gratitude, a sentiment often tucked away in the recesses of our hearts, possesses the transformative power to enrich not only our lives but also the lives of those around us.

In January of 1987 Betty, the kids, and I arrived in Querétaro, Mexico to study Spanish. I literally didn’t know ten words. I am forever indebted to Georgia, Hermana Luisa, Webb for the language institute she ran for many years. She was strict. She pushed hard. Betty cried on more than one occasion. Without the challenge I know that I never would have learned the language. The language school gave me structure, discipline, help learning what to do next. Read the rest of the letter then go watch this video the BBF did of Miss Webb. When you get this letter, Lord willing, Betty and I will be in Mexico and we will be visiting this wonderful godly lady. I thought of this lady often over the years. I remembered how hard she had been on me. I remembered being tortured it seemed but I survived Hermana Luisa and she made me a thriving missionary. Thank you Hermana Luisa for helping a red neck Tennessee hillbilly learn enough Spanish to do some ministry. God bless you. So know that language school might be very beneficial for you. Efficient Resource Utilization: Organized lesson plans and materials ensure learners make the most of their study time, covering essential language elements in a coherent manner. Clear Learning Objectives: Well-organized courses outline clear learning objectives, helping learners understand what to expect and what is expected of them. Resource Accessibility: Organized language schools provide learners with easy access to a variety of resources, including textbooks, multimedia materials, and language software.
